It is with deep sorrow that the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors announces the passing of Ms. Donna Jill Johnson, who faithfully served as Circuit Clerk for many years. Donna Jill was a dedicated public servant whose professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the citizens of Lauderdale County left a lasting impact on the Clerk’s Office and the community. She will be greatly missed by her colleagues, friends, and all who had the privilege of working with her.

During this time of mourning, the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors extends its heartfelt condolences to Donna Jill’s family and loved ones.

The Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors also announces that Renee Covert has been appointed as Interim Circuit Clerk. Renee brings experience and a strong commitment to public service and will ensure the continued operation of the Clerk’s Office during this transition.
