Fire Coordinator, Clarence Butler states that we have 21 volunteer fire departments scattered throughout Lauderdale County ready and willing to assist at any time regardless of the type of emergency. Approximately 300 of these firefighters are trained Emergency Medical Responders. The County is fortunate to have this kind of service to provide its citizens. We would like to thank the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors for their continued support. When you see your volunteers outside the firehouse training or on the side of the road going through a water shuttle training, not to mention the hours they spend in educational classes, know they are doing this for you.
