The Information Technology Department is responsible for installing and maintaining any hardware and software that will put information at the users fingertips. We have computers located in virtually every office that is under the jurisdiction of the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors.
All of these computers are linked together via our Local Area Network. We also maintain remote offices that are linked so that information is available to everyone. The personnel in the IT Department consists of an IT Director, a Network Administrator for the county, Network Administrator for the Sheriff's Office and a GIS Administrator. Due to the constant growth and innovation in the technology, the IT Department is constantly in a mode of change and growth and every day offers many new challenges.
